Butte County - Housing Authority

The Housing Authority of the County of Butte (HACB) is located in Chico, California and is a non-profit public agency incorporated in 1946. The mission of HACB is to assist low and moderate income residents of Butte County to secure and maintain high quality affordable housing.

The Housing Authority of the County of Butte administers the following housing programs:
Public Housing
Farm Labor Housing
Housing Choice (Section 8) Vouchers

All programs offer affordable housing to those that qualify based upon income, family composition and in some cases, income source and rental history with regard to renter’s responsibilities.
