CreditSmart in Spanish helps people plan for homeownership
Freddie Mac offers online financial tools in Spanish to assist families in achieving the skills needed for homeownership
A free, online tutorial called CreditSmart designed to help families prepare for homeownership is now available in Spanish.
The new online Spanish version of CreditSmart offers aspiring homeowners educational materials on banking, budgeting, building personal savings and credit, understanding credit scores, getting a mortgage, and closing on a loan. It also includes modules to help current homeowners avoid foreclosure and succeed as long-term homeowners.
These free online financial tools are available from Freddie Mac, the company that supplies funds to lenders to make mortgages available to low-to-moderate income people.
