Staff attends Vietnamese Tet Festival
Community Outreach Manager Jamie Woo braved heavy rain and wind to man Consumer Action’s booth at this year’s Vietnamese Tet Festival in San Francisco.
The Festival attracts over 30,000 residents and visitors from across the San Francisco Bay Area annually and has grown to be one of San Francisco's most popular cultural events.
Consumer Action (CA) is committed to empowering groups with the training, knowledge, and skills they need to go back into their communities and train their own constituents. Hosting a booth at the Tet Festival was a wonderful way for CA to reach out to organizations and businesses serving one of the fastest growing Vietnamese-American communities in the nation.
Vietnamese is one of the five core languages into which Consumer Action publications are translated. Woo distributed all of Consumer Action’s multilingual brochures and answered consumer-related questions on the spot. For a detailed list of publications and the languages that the materials are available in, visit our Publications section.
